PARC (Parkdale Activity-Recreation Centre) is beginning a fund-raising campaign to provide their share of the construction budget for the reconstruction of 194 Dowling Avenue known as "Edmond Place". This facility will provide 29 units of assisted housing for local residents. See: http://edmondplace.ca for more information.

To launch the campaign, a free community event is being planned at PARC on Friday January 22 from 7-9 pm at 1499 Queen Street West (Queen and Sorauren). It will be a presentation of the Six String Nation Guitar, the famous guitar built out of 63 bits of Canadiana, followed by a few songs played by local musicians. This is also an opportunity for all neighbours to come in, visit PARC and learn about their activities.
